Arjun Shankar
Mr. Arjun Shankar is one of London's leading teaching hospital consultants who runs a complex hernia clinic in the NHS at University College Hospital. He is also Divisional Clinical Director of GI services at UCH and is part of the newly created HPB surgical unit at The Royal Free Hospital. Mr. Shankar has a particular interest in laparoscopic and redo hernia surgery, especially those with previous MRSA infected wounds and wound breakdown. He undertook his training within the NE Thames region and obtained an MD at UCL. He completed his postgraduate specialist surgical training at the Middlesex and Hammersmith hospitals before becoming a consultant at UCLH in 2002.
